BOYS GYMNASTICS
1. The National Federation Gymnastic Rule Book will govern competition.
2. Dimensions of Apparatus:
a. Floor - Square padded area measuring 39'
4-1/2" X 39' 4-1/2" (12m x 12m), not to exceed 40' X 40'. Mat shall be
at least one inch thick.
b. Pommel Horse - Distance from floor to top of
horse shall be 45-1/4" plus or minus 1/8". Distance from floor to top
of pommels shall be 50" plus or minus 3/16".
c. Rings - Shall be attached at a point 216-1/2" plus or minus 3/8" above the floor and the distance from the floor to
the lower outside edge of the rings shall be 104". Rings shall be spread 18
to 19-11/16" apart.
d. Vaulting Horse - Distance from the floor to
the top of the horse shall be 53-1/8" plus or minus 3/8". Minimum
distance of 60'
for runway. Vaulting board crown is to be no more than 11" including pad.
All schools must have a side horse to host
competitions. Additionally, schools may opt to use the vaulting table if
one is provided.
e. Parallel Bars - Height from floor to top of
bars shall be 68-15/16" plus or minus 3/16", and raised an additional
4" for taller gymnasts.
f. Horizontal Bar - Distance from the floor shall
be 104" plus or minus 3/8". Distance between the uprights shall be
94-1/2".
g. Competition will not be allowed on spring
strips/floors.
3. DUAL MEETS
a. Five
competitors may compete from each school with an allowance of only two all-
arounds
per team and no other gymnast competing in more than three events.
b. Top three raw scores are added to give
event total.
c. Highest team total for six events
will determine the winner.
d. Coaches must submit score sheets
to Section XI, signed by the meet judge(s), within 72 hours.
