NOMINATING COMMITTEE

                                                    PURPOSE

To present a proposed slate of officers to the Athletic Council and to present other nominations as directed.

                                        GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

A.   This shall be a standing committee of Section XI.
B.   The chairman of this committee shall be the immediate past president of Section XI.
C.   Committee membership shall consist of one male and one female from each conference.  Members shall serve a two year term as specified in the Bylaws, Article VI, Section 7.  The Executive Director shall serve in an ex-officio non-voting capacity.

                                        SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

A.   The Nominating Committee shall present a proposed slate of officers to the Athletic Council at the annual meeting and will consider other nominations as directed.
B.   The approval of the slate of officers shall follow procedures outlined in Roberts Rules of Order, Newly Revised.

 
 


OFFICIALS' COMMITTEE

                                                    PURPOSE

To negotiate a contract between the President's Council of Officials and Section XI and to assist in the resolution of problems that arise from the operation of the contract.

                                        GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

A.   This shall be a continuing committee of Section XI.
B.   The chairman and committee members shall be appointed by the Section XI President with the approval of the Executive Board.
C.   Committee members from Section XI shall include superintendents, male and female representatives.  The Executive Director shall serve in an ex-officio non-voting capacity.
D.   Members shall serve at the discretion of the Section XI President.

                                        SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

A.   The committee shall negotiate with the President's Council of Officials in the development of a contract for officials.
B.   The committee shall resolve problems that arise with the implementation of the contract.
